Normandy & Biella

Linen

Long-fibre European linen, woven loosely enough to let the air through. It creases — that is the point. Ours softens with every wash and holds a pleat without stiffness.

Como, Italy

Cotton

A fine cotton twill with just enough weight to fall cleanly. Compact-spun yarn keeps the surface smooth and resists the pilling that cheaper cottons develop after a season.

Wool Blend

For evenings and occasions: a fine wool blend with a quiet lustre, chosen for how it drapes under a jacket. Half-lined waists keep it light enough for our climate.

The making

Four hands, many hours.

Nothing here is rushed. Each pair passes through four pairs of hands before it reaches the box.

01

Cloth selection

Every season begins at the mill — handle, weight, how the colour reads in daylight.

02

Pattern & cut

Blocks are refined over multiple fittings, then cut in small runs to keep the line consistent.

03

Construction

Waistbands set by hand, pleats pressed, brass hardware fitted and checked twice.

04

Finish & press

Hems are blind-stitched and every pair is pressed, folded and wrapped in tissue.

Care, extended

Keep it for years, not seasons.

Natural fibres reward a little attention. Wash linen cool and line dry in shade, press wool on the reverse, and store folded to protect the pleat. Complimentary repairs and hem adjustments are available at our Colombo atelier for the life of the garment.
